Governor Cayetano is the first Filipino-American to be elected Governor in the US. He has received many awards for his leadership abilities, including the prestigious
Harvard Foundation Award previously given to the Archbishop Desmond Tutu of South Africa, the Presiden
t of Mexico and the President of Ireland. He is a graduate
of Farrington High School, earned a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from UCLA and his Juris Doctorate from Loyola Law School.

MAYOR JEREMY HARRIS
Around The Island
Mayor Harris is the 11th Mayor of Honolulu. He earned
two undergraduate degrees in Biology from the University of Hawaii and a Master's degree in Population and Environmental Biology UC-Irvine. He taught marine conservation and Hawaiiana to island youngsters and
has initiated public education programs to fight pollution.
He has received many awards including the Outstanding Environmental Service Award in 1997 by the American Society of Public Administration.
